This read-aloud book features eight charming poems that take a tongue-in-cheek approach to life's smaller and larger themes – to delight young and old alike. Readers follow the animal protagonists on their madcap adventures. Whether in a bathtub on the high seas or on a trip back to the Ice Age. A book with a great deal of humour, warmth and of course ... the courage to be a mammoth.
A read-aloud book for everyone - particularly for
children aged 4 to 8.
When designing the book, it was important for us to convey the joyfulness and sense of fun in the poems.
The colour scheme chosen and the pared-down yet true-to-life characters enhance this approach.
The illustrations provide a visual backdrop to the texts, leaving plenty of room for the audience's own imagination.
